I ordered a breakfast/laptop table from Woodshala and am very happy with my product, which is sturdy and well finished. Lovely grain on the wood, good hinges and workmanship. I was a bit worried because they were not too communicative about my order with updates etc but it arrived in around four weeks, which is standard for wood work.

1. This is my second item i am purchasing. However unlike the first purchase i am disappointed with the quality of work. But i believe the company wants to really provide quality products, and issues i faced appear to be due to lack of supervision and quality check before despatch. Following are the points:
Good points:
a).The Wood used is genuine teak and quality of work is good.
b). Finishing of wooden members very good.
c). Design excellent
d). Light in weight and elegant.
Problem areas:
1. The hinges mounting area is poorly finished because of which the screws of some of the hinges continue to rotate. As a consequence two hinges just came off when the leg was unfolded.
2. The desk keeps shaking because the wooden cross member to arrest the legs (when unfolded) was not profiled accurately, as a result there is about 2 to 3 mm gap leading to this shaking.
Since i am in a position to rectify this i had to do the following to make it functional:
(a) Strenthened the hinge mounting areas with wood / fevicol and refixed the hinge & screw and applied araldite for positive adhesion.
(b) Used mseal to reprofile the ends of the cross member to reduce the gap between it and the legs (when unfolded).
Suggestions:
I request the company to spend time in pre-despatch quality check. Otherwise the intention to provide quality product will fail and lead to loss of faith in your products.
