At times, we do experience labour constraints due to factors such as festivals and harvest seasons, which are an integral part of our artisans’ lives. While we continuously work on strengthening and expanding our team, hiring in traditional craftsmanship is a careful and time-intensive process. We believe in first supporting and maintaining our existing workforce before onboarding new artisans, as quality and consistency remain our top priorities.
That said, we will certainly make every possible effort to complete your order at the earliest feasible time without compromising on craftsmanship or quality. We truly appreciate your patience and assure you that your order is being handled with care and responsibility.
Yes, as per our Refund Policy, in the event of a delay, customers may request a full refund, which we will honour without hesitation. That said, we always make our best efforts to complete the order and may request additional time if needed. To maintain transparency and confidence, we also share work-in-progress images, so you can clearly see that your furniture is actively being crafted and simply requires a little more time to complete.
That’s a fair question. Our prices may appear higher because each piece is handcrafted on a made-to-order basis rather than mass-produced. We focus on skilled workmanship, strong construction, and long-term durability instead of shortcuts. From careful selection to detailed finishing, every product goes through multiple quality checks. The result is furniture designed to last for years — offering better value over time, not just a lower upfront price.
Woodsala stands apart because we are deeply rooted in traditional Indian craftsmanship and community-driven manufacturing. We support local artisan communities who have been working with solid wood for two generations or more, providing both direct and indirect employment. While many brands reduce costs by importing furniture, we consciously choose to build and support livelihoods within India.
Secondly, we work with 100% solid wood construction using traditional mortise and tenon joinery, not shortcuts. To cut costs, many manufacturers use plywood, MDF, or engineered wood in hidden areas such as the back or base. While engineered wood may look similar, we do not compromise or misrepresent materials. Except in clearly stated cases — such as mirror backing, upholstery support, or where explicitly mentioned — we do not use MDF or engineered wood, and we are completely transparent about this.
We also follow traditional carpentry methods rather than direct screw-based assembly, which ensures better strength, stability, and longevity. In terms of finishing, we avoid PU coatings and instead use melamine polish, which allows the wood to breathe naturally while offering durability and a more authentic finish.
Finally, every Woodsala product is 100% Made in India, crafted responsibly with honesty, skill, and respect for the craft — not mass-produced, not imported, and never misleading.
